Starlings Communty of Practice is coming

2025

"We are all a part of the village that is raising the youth of our communities. We not only have an opportunity, but an obligation to ensure every youth can experience their right to a healthy family, and every family their right to seek out support without fear of experiencing the stigma of a parent's substance use".

Agnes Chen, CoP Chair, Starlings Executive Director

Thanks for being here.

We are all a part of the village raising the next generation. How can you BEST contribute.

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. We acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory. Finally, we remain committed to continue to learn about the truth regarding Colonialism and residential schools in Canada, and will actively work towards reconciliation while advocating for our government to do so as well.
